Basement Cleanouts in Doraville
Old furniture, stacks of boxes and years of things no one wants to lug up the stairs. We clear it all out of your basement, guard the steps and walls on the way up, and sweep the floor before we leave. Show us what goes, and we do the lifting.

A basement you can use again
Basements fill up slowly. A broken treadmill goes down, then holiday bins, then the couch from the last move. Before long the room is hard to walk through, and the stairs make it a big job to tackle alone.
We do the heavy part. Our crew sorts with you, carries everything up and out, and loads it onto our truck. Items in good shape go to donation when possible, metal goes to recycling, and the rest goes to the proper disposal site.
The difference you notice is how we leave things. Floor runners go down on the path out, corners and railings get padded, and we sweep and check the space at the end. Your home should look better when we leave, not just emptier.
What the job includes
Sorting with you
You tell us what stays, what goes and what to set aside for donation. We can work room by room or shelf by shelf, at whatever pace you want.
Carrying up the stairs
Basement stairs are often narrow with a tight turn at the top. We take apart bulky pieces like bed frames and shelving when that is the safer way up, so nothing scrapes your walls or railing.
Floor and wall protection
Before the first load, we lay runners along the path from the basement to the door and pad door frames and corners. Most damage on these jobs happens in that path, so that is where we focus.
Damp and musty items
Cardboard boxes, old carpet and upholstered furniture soak up moisture in a humid Georgia summer and can grow mildew. We bag soft, damp items before carrying them through your home to keep odor and debris off your floors.
Final sweep
Once the basement is empty, we sweep the floor, pick up loose nails and packing scraps, and walk the space with you before we leave.
Signs it is time to clear the basement
You can't reach the water heater
If boxes block the furnace, water heater or electrical panel, it is time. Those need clear space for service and safety.
A musty smell has moved in
That smell often comes from damp cardboard, old fabric or carpet. Removing the source usually does more than any air freshener.
You are getting ready to sell or move
An empty basement shows better and makes moving day easier. Clearing it early gives you time to deal with what you find underneath.
There's been a leak or water in the basement
Wet items need to go before repairs can start. We can take out soaked boxes, furniture and flooring scraps so the restoration crew or contractor has room to work.
You stopped going down there
When a room becomes a place you avoid, it is wasted space. Clearing it is the first step to a workshop, playroom or simply room to breathe.
What cleanout day looks like
- 1
Get a quote by phone
Let us know what's in the basement and about how much. We can quote it on the phone, or book a free, no-obligation on-site estimate if you'd like us to see it first. Same-day and next-day service are available.
- 2
Look it over, then protect the path
Once we arrive, we go through the basement with you to confirm what's leaving. Floor runners go down and the stairs and doorways get padded before anything is lifted.
- 3
Carry it out
Everything comes up the stairs and out to the truck, with big pieces taken apart when needed. We're enrolled in E-Verify, which confirms our hires are authorized to work, so you can be comfortable with who is in your home.
- 4
Sweep and walk through
We roll up the runners, sweep the basement floor and the route we used, and look it over with you. You pay once you're satisfied with how it looks.
What sets the price
The price depends mostly on how much truck space your things take. Our pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, so the figure we quote is what you pay. These are the things that change it.
- How much is going
- The share of the truck your things fill matters most. A few big pieces cost less than a basement full from wall to wall.
- The stairs and the way out
- A walkout basement with a door at ground level goes faster than a steep inside staircase with a sharp turn. Longer carries and more disassembly take more time.
- What kind of items
- Some items, like old appliances, mattresses or paint cans, cost more to dispose of the right way. Mention them on the call so your quote is accurate.
- Their condition
- Wet or mildewed things need extra bagging and care to carry through your home cleanly. A dry basement with things boxed up moves quicker.
Basement cleanout questions
Something not covered here? (404) 476-8101
Should I bring things upstairs before you get here?
No, leave it all where it sits. Carrying it up is our work, and we'd rather you not move heavy things on the stairs. Just tell us or mark what you want to keep.
Could you scuff my walls or floors carrying things out?
Before we start, runners go down along the whole route and corners, door frames and railings get padded. Large pieces come apart when they won't make the turn easily. We treat your house the way we'd treat our own.
Will you take things that were damaged by a leak?
Yes. Wet boxes, furniture, rugs and carpet come up on a lot of basement jobs. We bag soft, soaked items so they don't drip or shed through your home on the way out.
What do you do with things that still work?
Furniture, tools and household goods in decent condition go aside for donation when local groups will accept them. Metal and other recyclables go to recycling, and only what can't be reused goes to disposal.
Do you cover towns near Doraville?
Yes. Besides Doraville, we clear out basements in Chamblee, Dunwoody, Tucker, Brookhaven, Norcross and other nearby areas, all listed on our Service Areas page.
