Furniture Removal in Doraville
That old sectional, the dresser upstairs, the recliner nobody sits in. We lift it, carry it out without scuffing your walls or floors, load it on our truck and sweep up behind us. You point, we handle the heavy part.

Heavy pieces out, your home left the way you like it
Furniture removal is about more than muscle. A sleeper sofa weighs more than it looks, a solid wood armoire can gouge a hardwood floor in one bad step, and a sectional rarely leaves through the door it came in. We plan the route before anything moves, so your banisters, door frames and floors come through untouched.
We take single items and full rooms. Most people call us after a new delivery, before a move, while settling an estate or when the guest room has quietly become storage. If you also have an old washer or fridge to go, our appliance removal crew can take it on the same trip.
What you get with furniture removal
- Pickup from anywhere in the house
- Bedrooms upstairs, finished basements, back patios and garages are all fine. There's no need to haul anything to the curb ahead of time.
- Your home protected along the route
- Runners go over hardwood, carpet and tile along the way out, and door frames and stair rails get padding wherever a piece fits snugly. Mirrors and glass tabletops have their corners wrapped before moving.
- Taking things apart with care
- Bed frames, bunk beds, sectionals and some entertainment centers are easier to take apart than to squeeze down a hall. We bring tools, break them down and keep screws and hardware off your floors.
- The spot swept and wiped
- A piece that has stood for years leaves behind dust, stray coins and pet hair. After it's out, we sweep or vacuum the spot so the room is ready right away.
- Sorting for donation and recycling
- Usable pieces go aside for donation when local charities accept them. Metal frames and other recyclable parts are kept apart from what has to go to the landfill.
Signs it is time to have furniture hauled away
New furniture is on the way
If the old couch is still in the living room when the delivery truck arrives, the room gets crowded fast. Having it gone the day before keeps the delivery simple.
Sagging, broken or wobbly pieces
Frames that crack, springs that poke through and drawers that fall off their runners are not worth the space they take.
Musty smells or mildew
Furniture stored in a garage or basement through a humid Georgia summer can pick up mildew that does not clean out. Once it smells, it usually needs to go.
A move or downsizing
Paying movers to haul pieces you do not want at the new place costs you twice. Clearing them first trims the move.
Pests or bedbug worries
Mattresses and upholstered chairs that have had pests should leave the house wrapped and quickly. Tell us on the call and we will bag them before carrying them out.
What a furniture pickup looks like
- 1
Give us a call
Let us know what's going and where in the house it is. You can get a quote over the phone, or we'll stop by for a free, no-obligation on-site estimate if you prefer we see it first.
- 2
A quick look when we arrive
The crew goes over each piece with you and checks the way out. If something is different from the call, you hear about it before we begin, not afterward.
- 3
Cover, then carry
Runners go down and snug spots get padding. Then we take apart what needs it and carry every piece out by hand.
- 4
Tidy up and leave
We sweep where each piece sat, roll up the runners and check the walkway and driveway for dropped hardware. Your space is left neat.

What sets the price of furniture removal
The cost comes down to how much truck space your furniture fills and the effort needed to get it loaded. Pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, so the price you say yes to is the price you pay.
- How big and how many
- A single loveseat uses much less of the truck than a whole bedroom set. Bundling several pieces into one trip usually lowers the cost per item compared with separate pickups.
- Stairs and narrow spaces
- Bringing a dresser down from the second floor or up a tight basement stairwell takes more time and people than carrying one from beside the front door.
- Taking pieces apart
- Large wardrobes, sectionals and sleeper sofas that have to be broken down mean more labor.
- Where it ends up
- Some facilities charge disposal fees for mattresses and certain upholstered pieces, while items that can be donated or recycled may cost less to handle.
Furniture removal questions
Something not covered here? (404) 476-8101
Will you take furniture from upstairs or the basement?
Yes. We carry pieces out from wherever they are in your home. Stairs are where most wall and floor damage happens, so that is where we take the most care with padding and pacing.
Do I need to empty drawers or take the bed apart?
Please empty drawers and closets of anything you want to keep. Leave the disassembly to us; we bring our own tools and handle bed frames, sectionals and similar pieces.
Who will be coming into my house?
Our own crew. Doraville Junk Removal is enrolled in E-Verify, so the people carrying furniture through your home have had their work eligibility confirmed.
Does my furniture get donated?
When a piece is clean and in usable condition, we set it aside for donation if a local charity will take it. Worn, broken or stained items go to recycling or disposal.
Do you work outside Doraville?
Yes. We also pick up furniture in nearby areas including Chamblee, Dunwoody, Tucker, Norcross and Brookhaven.
Time to get rid of that old furniture?
Let us know what's going and you'll get a straightforward price. Your floors stay protected on the way out, and the room is swept when we leave.
